It's about a half hour west from Seashore State Park and the reviews I've read and people I've talked to about the park, no one has anything bad to say about it. I have not stayed there as of yet.we are going there in July. Maybe it's just me, but that's not exactly reasonably priced as another poster had stated.that's almost $300.00 a night.Īnother option you have is Trap Pond State Park. They have the Indian River Cottages which you say you're going at the end of June will cost you $1,800.00 to rent for the week. Regardless of which location you choose do not forget long sand tent stakes, you'll need them.Īs for "cabins" at Seashore, they don't have cabins like Killens or Trap Pond has.
The only thing great about Seashore is the location. And, from what I understand the bridge construction will continue until next year. It offers no shade and you're packed in like sardines and another drawback to Seashore is the continued bridge construction which while we were there last summer was quite noisy and dusty during the daylight hours. Seashore State Park for lack of better words is a parking lot. You have more room and privacy and you have shade, which in June/July/August gives you some relief from the hot temperatures. Having stayed at both in a tent my choice would be Cape Henlopen.
